Community Guidelines
Last updated: 17 October 2026
The BackPain community is a place to share wins, ask questions and support people who know what living with back pain is like. These guidelines keep it kind, safe and useful for everyone. They're part of our Terms of Use.
We have zero tolerance for abusive or objectionable content. Breaking these rules can get your content removed and your account banned, without warning.
Do
- Be kind. Everyone's pain is real, even when you can't see it. Assume good intentions.
- Share your experience. "What helped me was…" is great. Celebrate progress, big and small.
- Encourage professional care. If someone describes serious or worsening symptoms, gently suggest they see a doctor.
- Protect your privacy. Use a nickname if you like, and keep personal details out of posts.
Don't
- Give medical orders or diagnoses. Don't tell people to stop prescribed treatment, take specific medicines or doses, or that they "definitely have" a condition. Never claim to be a medical professional if you aren't.
- Harass, bully or hate. No insults, threats, discrimination or attacks based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age or any other characteristic.
- Post sexual, violent or graphic content.
- Encourage self-harm or suicide, or mock anyone who is struggling.
- Sell or advertise. No links, promotions, affiliate codes, "miracle cures" or recruiting for other services.
- Share other people's private information, or impersonate anyone.
- Post anything illegal or that infringes someone else's rights.
If you see something wrong
- Report it: tap ••• on any post or reply and choose Report. Reports are anonymous.
- Block someone: tap ••• and choose Block. You won't see their posts or replies anymore.
- Contact us: email support@vellixventures.com for anything urgent.
How we enforce these guidelines
- Our team reviews reports and aims to act within 24 hours.
- Content reported by several members is hidden automatically until we review it.
- We remove content that breaks these rules. Depending on how serious it is, we may also ban the member from posting.
- If you think we've made a mistake, email us and we'll take another look.
If you or someone else is in danger, don't wait for a reply in the community. Call your local emergency number.
